Well, "notebook" may be a lame way to say "laptop," but still in use, I guess. But what I mean "notebook" here, is the actual notebook, which you can write things on with pens.
I thought the template I chose for my blogspot is a bookshelf. It's a blatant show-off of my so-called intellectual identity of a so-called "book historian." But then I noticed, on the bookshelf are not books, but notebooks. Maybe the designer photoshopped all the titles on the book spines out. Hmmmmm, it makes me happy in another way, because, I'm a notebook addict. I wish this virtual bookshelf full of notebooks were mine.....
I visited book stores for their notebook inventory, I restless bought notebooks even I know I (maybe also my grand-grand-grand-children) can never ever use them up, I loved presenting notebooks as gifts to my dear friends (and of course love receiving them). Yes, I went nuts every time I was exposed to varieties of notebooks. I was slaved.
I guess I represent the very lameness in this society where every one uses new media technology to record his/her life. But I'm kind of proud of myself. First, I'm rare. Second, I'm rare. Third, I'm rare.
This rareness means, if you are my friend, you will probably receive a notebook from me some time. (Or you have already got it!) Then in a day in the future when every one forgets how to use pen to write on paper, you happen to see the notebook somewhere in your storage. Dusty, absolutely. Then you may be triggered by this notebook, maybe just the texture of the paper, and write something on it. Hmmm, lovely to use pen again. Then you become a little bit nostalgic. Then you can think of me, your lame friend.
Count me in! I have tons of half-used notebooks sleeping on my bookshelf...
ReplyDeleteLast week I bought a three-notebook set from Barles and Noble. Recycled paper. $9. I love them!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm using the little notebook you gave me this summer. The "good good study day day up" one, remember? ^_^
